Quick start

From an empty account to a routed order, in the intended order.

Each step is a page of its own further in. This is the sequence — doing them out of order mostly works, but the last step silently does nothing without the first.

  1. 1
    Connect a broker
Broker setup, then Connect. If you have never done this before, use a paper or evaluation login from your firm rather than a funded one — the rest of Tradeus behaves identically on it.
  2. 2
    Check the accounts arrived
Your accounts appear under the connection by themselves. If none do, nothing downstream can work.
  3. 3
    Create a strategy
You get a webhook URL and a passphrase. The passphrase is shown once.
  4. 4
    Point an alert at it
Paste the URL and the ready-made message into a TradingView alert.
  5. 5
Subscribe an account to the strategy
Until an account follows the strategy, signals are recorded and nothing trades. This is the step people miss.
  6. 6
    Set the size
Fixed contracts, the signal's own quantity, or a dollar risk per trade.
  7. 7
    Arm a lock
A daily loss limit is the cheapest insurance in the product.
Send one alert by hand from TradingView before you let a strategy run. It either shows up in the strategy's event log or it tells you exactly why not — see When a signal does not trade.
