Tradecopia vs Tradeus

Tradecopia is a futures copier built around the same worry this product is built around: the limit that ends a funded account. On risk the two are close, and the page below says so rather than pretending otherwise. Where they separate is what starts a trade and what the software runs on — Tradecopia copies fills from a leader account and offers a desktop tier alongside its hosted ones, Tradeus takes a TradingView alert directly and is hosted on every plan.

Side by side

Every row is what their own page says.

No row below is our opinion of Tradecopia. Each one links the page on their site it was read from, so you can check it rather than take it — and any row we could not source that way is not on this page at all.

  • Where the software runs

    Tradecopia

Both, depending on the tier. Their pricing page describes the Pro tier as a “native Windows & Mac client” that runs on your own machine, and the Pro+ tiers as hosted — “always-on, no local machine required” — with the top tier on a dedicated single-tenant VPS.

    Tradeus

Hosted on every plan. There is no desktop tier, which means there is no version of this where your machine has to be awake and no cheaper option that quietly is one.

  • What can start a trade

    Tradecopia

A filled order on a leader account. Their own page is explicit about the boundary: “Only fills copy. Tradecopia mirrors the orders that actually execute on your leader, not chart drawings, alerts, or indicators.” A webhook endpoint that receives a TradingView alert is not mentioned there or on their features page.

    Tradeus

Both. The copier mirrors fills the same way, and the webhook takes a TradingView alert on its own, so a strategy can trade accounts on a night you never open the platform.

  • Accounts, and what they cost

    Tradecopia

“Unlimited follower accounts and unlimited copied orders”, stated as included on all three plans, alongside “per-account risk controls” and independent position sizing.

    Source: Tradecopia's own page

    Tradeus

The same: no count on connections, source accounts or target accounts, on any plan, and sizing set per account. This row is a draw.

  • Limits that stop an account being breached

    Tradecopia

Their features page lists daily loss limits and daily profit targets per account, trade-frequency limits, distance-to-drawdown monitoring on every connected account, a manual lockout on the web plans, a position reconciler that closes orphan positions, and “Flatten Group” to close all positions across a group at once.

    Source: Tradecopia's own page

    Tradeus

Daily loss and target, static, trailing and end-of-day drawdown, trades per day, lockout, and a kill switch across every endpoint and copier. This is the row where the two products are closest, and anyone telling you otherwise about either of them is selling something.

  • Platforms it connects to

    Tradecopia

Their site names Tradovate, TradingView, ProjectX, TopstepX, Rithmic, NinjaTrader, Quantower, ATAS, Sierra Chart and Tradesea.

    Source: Tradecopia's own page

    Tradeus

Tradovate, Rithmic and TradeLocker. Three, because three are wired up — a shorter list than theirs, and if your accounts sit on NinjaTrader or Quantower that difference decides it.

  • Trial and price

    Tradecopia

Their pricing page shows each tier at a regular price with 30% off applied by a code: $34.99 against $49.99 for Pro (Desktop), $59.99 against $79.99 for Pro+ Lite, and $119.99 against $149.99 for Pro+. A 7-day free trial is offered on the first two; the page states the top tier has none because each subscription provisions a dedicated VPS.

    Source: Tradecopia's own page

    Tradeus

A free trial on the middle plan, of the length the checkout states, and no desktop tier to price separately. Current prices are on the pricing page.

About Tradecopia

Tradecopia is a trade copier for futures accounts, sold in three tiers: a native desktop client for Windows and macOS, and two hosted tiers, the upper one on a dedicated VPS. Its own framing is “prop-firm safe and risk-aware by default”, and it publishes a page naming 23 prop firms.

Tradeus is a hosted layer between a signal and a funded account. A TradingView alert arrives at an endpoint, a trade on one account is mirrored to the others, every order is checked against the limits set on the account it is headed for, and anything that would cross one is refused before it is sent. It runs on our machines: there is nothing to install and nothing of yours has to be awake. It connects to Tradovate, Rithmic and TradeLocker, which is what the prop firms our users trade with issue credentials for.

Which one

There is a case for each, and this is it.

Choose Tradecopia if

Your accounts are on platforms we have not wired up. Tradecopia reaches NinjaTrader, Quantower, ATAS and Sierra Chart, and if that is where your funded accounts live then the comparison is over before the other rows matter. Their risk tooling is genuinely comparable, and their desktop tier is the cheaper way in if running on your own machine does not bother you.

Choose Tradeus if

A strategy, not only a leader account. If what you want automated is a TradingView alert firing at three in the morning rather than a trade you place yourself, that is the row that separates these two products — and if you would rather not have a machine of your own in the path at any price, every plan here is hosted.

Questions

What people ask about Tradecopia and Tradeus.

Does Tradecopia support TradingView?

Their site describes TradingView as a place you place trades that then route to your broker and fill — and it is those fills that get copied. That is TradingView as a leader account, not as an alert source. A webhook endpoint for an alert is not mentioned on either of the pages we read; we have not tested for one, and this page does not claim they lack it.

Is a desktop copier worse than a hosted one?

Not as such, and we are not going to claim it is. It is a different trade: a desktop client keeps the software on hardware you control, a hosted one keeps running when your hardware does not. Which matters more depends on whether your strategies fire while you are asleep.

Why does this page concede so much?

Because the rows where we are ahead are only worth anything if the rows where we are not are stated too. Tradecopia connects to more platforms than we do, and their risk tooling covers the same ground as ours. Both of those are true, and a page that hid them would not be worth reading on the parts that differ.

Every row above links the page it was read from. The one claim neither page can make for you is how it behaves on your own accounts.
